I really love reflection shots, so I was happy to see that the theme chosen for this week’s photo challenge is REFLECTIONS.
My contribution was taken last week at a local park. As I was snapping a couple photos of a great blue heron standing statue-still on the edge of the pond, the heron decided it was time for a quick exit.
If you like reflection photos too, check out the other submissions at: Weekly Photo Challenge.

That’s an awesome photo!
Thanks Scott, I just happened to press the button at the right time!
This really is a spectacular photo.
Thanks so much
Beautiful shot — almost an abstract!
Thanks. I really like the colors in the water.

That’s a great photo! On first glance I thought it was a parachute of some sort. What a lovely catch!
Thanks Terri

I came here to pay a reciprocal visit to your SkyWatch Friday post, but this photo totally distracted me! Are you kidding?! What an awesome capture!! The colors of the beautiful heron and the Autumn colors reflected in the water would make this photo beautiful by themselves, but the way the heron and his reflection create a circle – that is just outstanding! What a very special photo! (Your SkyWatch photo is very pretty too, but this one is just spectacular – really, you should enter it in a contest or something!)
Thanks for your kind comments
Beautiful shot… finally catching up.
Beautiful photograph- All the best in the New Year!
Thank you. Happy New Year to you also!
Spectacular shot!
If you like reflected pics, sometime try this: crop the reflected portion, then turn the reflection “downside up” for some interesting effects.
Yes, sometimes you truly can’t tell which side is “up.” Amazing.
