I was fortunate enough to spend a few hours at the beach this afternoon with my family. We drove to Sandy Hook in Highlands, New Jersey, and walked around both the ocean and the bay side of the peninsula. There’s something about being near the water that is very relaxing and satisfying. I especially like to go to the shore in the off-season so you can feast your eyes on God’s creation when it’s not too crowded! It was a beautiful day with blue sky, rolling waves, gulls, shells, and sand. Just like a kid, I still get excited to catch that first glimpse of the water as we approach the coastline.
Here are a few photos from the day. Visit my Flickr page to see more Sandy Hook photos.
